On-call recruitment believes that it is vitally important that businesses support the community they work within, which is why we have taken on a number of charitable initiatives – including supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
Our customers will probably know that we actively support Red Nose Day, Children In Need and ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’ charities – click here to see what we have got up to in the past!
On-call are now very proud to support Prostate Cancer UK, a charity that fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life. The charity find answers by funding ground-breaking research, leading change by raising the profile of the disease and improving care. And they support men by providing vital information and services.
Adrian Rawden, managing director of On-call, recently proposed a challenge to Notts County Striker Danny Haynes. For every goal that Danny scores during the season, Adrian will donate £100 towards Prostate Cancer UK.
Adrian is backing him to hit 20 goals during 2013/14, having been impressed with what he has seen from the County number 10 so far: “As a fan we all know we have been a bit light in that department so Danny was a good choice, he’s new here and a striker who has shown he means business,” he said. “I would love to see Danny get 30 but 20 would be a good target to achieve.
“In the Championship I understand Danny has a one in three strike rate, so 20 in League 1 is achievable and the charity would certainly benefit if he does. I’ve had a few tweets from people saying they hope he costs me £2,000!”
“I had a figure in mind to donate to charity and thought I could link it to football with cash per goal incentive hopefully it works and both the charity and Notts’ will benefit – it’s a win win situation for all of us!”
